This workshop will explore current practices of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and immersive 360 videos. We’re going to analyze how these technologies can enrich journalism across the globe and discuss possible technical, ethical and health related issues in order to form the basis for virtual reality journalism code of ethics.
During the workshop we’ll review the latest developments in the virtual reality market, latest investments, immersive video capture techniques, dissemination via mobile VR players, ways to develop virtual reality apps and generate ideas around how immersive technologies can make a significant impact in future newsrooms.
