20 APRIL 2016 – WORKSHOP: Drone Journalism @ DME Vienna

Led by the Civic Drone Centre’s DroneHack team, this session will explore current practice within drone journalism and media capture, outline legal frameworks and restrictions that operators face, and begin to map how UAVs could feature as an editorial innovation across a range of global newsrooms.

We’ll also be getting hands-on with the latest tech, mocking up our own drone journalism platforms and considering what the future of drone journalism could hold. We’ll examine how sensors, 3D imaging and other technologies could contribute to the generation of news and information, and generate ideas around how drones could make an impact in your newsrooms.
